Pawan Kalyan born Konidala Kalyan Babu (2 September 1971)[4] is an Indian film actor, martial Artist, director, screenwriter, Stunt coordinator,choreographer, and playback singer, known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He is the brother of actor turned politician Chiranjeevi. Kalyan made his acting debut in 1996 Telugu film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi.
In 1998, he starred in Tholi Prema which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. He is known for his work in successful films like Gokulamlo Seetha, Suswagatham, Thammudu, Badri, Kushi, Jalsa and Gabbar Singh. He was listed #53 in Forbes India top 100 Celebrities for the year 2012.[5]

Pawan Kalyan was born to Konidala Venkata Rao and Anjana Devi on 2 September 1971.[6] He is the younger brother of Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu.[7]
Pawan Kalyan is a trained Martial Artist.[8] He holds a black belt in karate and has displayed his skills in several of his films.[9] He publicly performed his martial arts skills at several auditoriums.[8] He was awarded the title "Pawan", symbolizing Hanuman. From then, Kalyan Babu became popular as Pawan Kalyan.[10] Pawan Kalyan is a vegetarian and is highly influenced by Che Guevara, Jiddu Krishnamurti and Swami Vivekananda's philosophy.[11]
Pawan Kalyan married Nandini, a Visakhapatnam resident, on 17 May 1997.[12] The couple separated after two years of marriage. Pawan started a relationship with his co-star Renu Desai.[13] His first marriage was scrutinized by the media when Nandini filed a case against Pawan and his family seeking divorce and alimony from him on 25 June 2007. The case was investigated and in August 2008, the court granted divorce to the couple with Pawan agreeing to pay 5 crores as a one time settlement to Nandini. Soon after the divorce, on 28 January 2009, he married Renu Desai.[13] Renu Desai worked as a costume designer for most of his films. The couple has two children, a son named Akira Nandan born in 2004 and a girl named Aadhya born in 2010.
