Atif Aslam (Urdu: عاطف اسلم; born in [Wazirabad], Gujranwala District, Punjab, Pakistan as Muhammad Atif Aslam) is a Pakistani pop singer andfilm actor. His debut as an actor was in the 2011 film Pakistani movie Bol. He has generated numerous chart-topping songs,[1] and is known for hisvocal belting technique.[2] Atif is a recipient for the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan's highest civilian decorations. He was also awarded with Brandlaureate International Brand Personality Award[3] in Malaysia for his contributions towards enhancement of the well being of society. He recently became the first Pakistani pop singer to perform at The O2 Arena London twice.[4][5][6]

Atif was born into a Muslim, Arain family in Wazirabad, of Gujranwala District, Punjab, in Pakistan and educated in larkana & kamber.[7] Atif went to kindergarten at Kimberley Hall School, Larkana. In 1991 he moved to kamber where he continued his studies in St Paul's School. Atif came back to Lahore in 1995 where he continued his studies in Divisional Public School, Lahore. He started his FSC in PAF Inter College Lahore. Atif is also a holder of a Bachelor's degree.[8][9][10][11]
